🖐️ World Braille Day, celebrated on January 4th, pays homage to Louis Braille’s birth anniversary, the inventor of Braille. This day recognises the critical role of Braille in enabling blind and visually impaired individuals to read and write through its unique system of raised dots.

📖 Braille represents much more than a writing system; it symbolises freedom, independence, and access to information for millions worldwide. It’s a day to highlight the importance of literacy and inclusion for the visually impaired community.

South Steyne Medical Centre’s opening hours will be changing for the Christmas and New Year holidays. Please take heed of the following changes:

Sunday 24th December (Christmas Eve): Closed

Monday 25th December (Christmas Day): Closed

Tuesday 26th December (Boxing Day): Closed

Wednesday 27th December – Saturday 30th December: Open

Saturday 30th December: Closed

Sunday 31st December (New Year’s Eve): Closed

Monday 1st January 2024 (New Year’s Day): Closed

South Steyne Medical Centre will reopen on Tuesday 2nd January 2024. Please speak to our reception team if you need further guidance with these changes.

🎄 Some of the Doctors, as well as our Nurses and other Staff, are taking a well-earned break over the Christmas and New Year period.

Except as noted below, the Centre will remain open during its usual operating hours but with reduced coverage. In case of delays to your consultation or treatment, we ask that you please be patient. To further cut down on wait times, you can book an appointment via HotDoc or the website rather than walk in.
