Dr Yliana Dennett is an experienced General Practitioner with additional qualifications in Travel Medicine, Family Planning, and Sexual and Reproductive Health. She is a Fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (FRACGP).
Dr Dennett brings a broad and practical clinical background to travel medicine, with experience in emergency medicine, hospital medicine, Flying Doctor Services, and work in remote and Indigenous communities. This experience provides her with a strong understanding of the health risks associated with travel, particularly in remote or resource-limited settings.

Dr Vivian Chan is an experienced General Practitioner with over 20 years’ experience in emergency medicine and general practice, with a strong focus on travel medicine and pre-travel health advice. She graduated with honours from UNSW in 1995 and is a Fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (FRACGP).
Dr Chan has extensive international experience, having worked as a Senior Registrar in the Emergency Department at Mount Elizabeth Hospital in Singapore. Her background includes involvement in overseas medical evacuations and providing medical coverage for major international events such as the ASEAN Games, Youth Olympics, and the APEC Summit. This experience gives her a practical, real-world understanding of health risks faced by travellers.

Dr Khalesi is an experienced General Practitioner with a strong academic and clinical background. He holds a PhD in skin cancer from Queensland University of Technology and has published extensively in peer-reviewed international journals, with his research cited in over 200 publications worldwide. He has also presented at both international and national conferences.
Alongside his clinical work, Dr Khalesi is an accredited clinical supervisor with the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners, mentoring doctors in training. He has also been actively involved in teaching medical students at the University of Sydney and the University of New England since 2018.

How Do I Book a Travel Medicine Appointment?
Vaccine costs are additional to the consultation fee. Medicare rebates may apply depending on the consultation length, clinical content and your eligibility.
- One Traveller with a Simple Itinerary – Book Online
Book a 30-minute Travel Medicine Consultation through HotDoc if:
- You are the only traveller
- You are visiting one country or following a straightforward itinerary
- You do not have significant medical conditions affecting travel
- You are not travelling to remote, rural or high-risk destinations
Booking process:
- Book online through HotDoc.
- Complete the pre-appointment travel form.
- Upload your immunisation record where available.
- Attend your consultation.
If your itinerary or medical history appears more complex, reception may contact you to arrange a longer appointment.
For multiple travellers or complex travel plans, please call reception rather than booking online.
- Couples, Families or Groups – Contact Reception
Please contact reception if two or more people are travelling on the same itinerary.
Reception will allocate:
- 30 minutes for the first traveller
- An additional 15 minutes for each additional traveller
Each traveller will be assessed individually and should provide their medical and vaccination information before the appointment.

Accredited Yellow Fever vaccination service for travellers to endemic regions. Includes official International Certificate of Vaccination and assessment of suitability based on your travel plans and medical history.
- Malaria Prophylaxis Advice
Individualised advice on malaria prevention, including whether prophylactic medication is recommended, the most appropriate option for your destination, and guidance on insect-bite avoidance.
- High Altitude Travel Advice
Medical advice for travel to high-altitude destinations, including prevention and recognition of altitude illness, medication options when appropriate, and strategies for safe acclimatisation.

Vaccine and medication costs are additional and are not included in the consultation fee.
*The rebates shown are indicative only. As at 1 July 2026, the Medicare rebate is $45.05 for a standard GP consultation, $87.10 for a long GP consultation and $128.35 for a consultation lasting at least 40 minutes. The doctor will select the appropriate Medicare item based on the consultation actually provided. A particular rebate or out-of-pocket cost cannot be guaranteed.

Travellers following the same itinerary can generally be booked together:
- Two travellers: $270 total consultation fee
- Three travellers: $370 total consultation fee
- Four travellers: $470 total consultation fee
